A public accounting firm in NYC is seeking a Tax Manager for its Film and Television Production/Intellectual Property practice area. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-renowned firm across the entertainment industry in a position that is a partner-track opportunity for the right applicant.



Responsibilities:


The Tax Manager will:

• Review entity-level and individual income tax returns, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns and other deliverables, serving as a primary service contact in conjunction with the partner-in-charge
• Act as a liaison between clients and government tax authorities to answer questions and resolve potential discrepancies
• Oversee a team of three to four other tax professionals in administering services to the clients within the practice area
• Stay current on changes in relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client savings
• Participate in Firm recruiting efforts and in initiatives to increase staff retention
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Tax experience within a Public Accounting
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Taxation
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• CPA or parts passed and/or EA certification
• Interest in the Entertainment industry
