The mission of Gabriella Charter Schools is to join academic rigor with the creativity of dance to engage the hearts and minds of young people in underserved communities, empowering them to excel both inside and outside the classroom. Gabriella Charter Schools is composed of two high-performing, dance-themed charter schools in the Los Angeles community. GCS 1 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Echo Park. GCS 2 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Historic South Central.

GCS has garnered accolades, including the State's Distinguished School Award and Exemplary Arts Program Award, the California Honor Roll, California Gold Ribbon Award, the Title 1 Achievement Award, California Pivotal Practice Award, the California Charter School of the Year award, and a ranking by USC as one of the best charter schools in California. Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Special Education, a Gabriella Charter Schools Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed/credentialed speech and language pathologist to provide school based speech and language services to students in grades K-8. Working in collaboration with the SLP, teachers, and school administrators, the Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant implements established treatment plans for the purpose of facilitating students' progress and access to the general education academic setting.
