The Detroit Mechanix is a dynamic and fast-growing professional sports team dedicated to engaging with our community and delivering innovative sports marketing. We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the sports industry while earning college credit. Position Overview: As a Social Media Intern, you will collaborate with our marketing team to create and manage content across various social media platforms. This internship is a fantastic opportunity for a college student to develop skills in social media marketing, content creation, and sports management. Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and executing social media strategies and campaigns.
• Create engaging content using platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
• Monitor and respond to interactions on social media platforms, fostering community engagement.
• Track and analyze social media metrics and performance to optimize content and strategy.
• Support the production of marketing materials and promotional content.
• Attend and assist with team events and game day activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university in Michigan, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong interest in sports and social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
