About us

At Oritain, we are dedicated to providing innovative solutions that protect and verify the origin of products, ensuring authenticity and reducing risks associated with counterfeit goods. Our technology is at the forefront of origin verification, and we partner with global brands to help them maintain the integrity of their supply chains. Our unique solution provides data insights and scientific traceability that help some of the biggest brands in the world understand more about where their products originate from while reducing the impact on the environment and society by tackling issues such as deforestation and modern slavery in supply chains. We are an innovative data company with a big global ambition, and we need people who share our passion for being commercially successful and creating a powerful positive impact on a global scale.

About the role

As a result of our continued growth, we're looking for driven and motivated Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to join our team. • Appointment Setting : Organise and schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff and clear communication and documentation of customer needs.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with potential customers, identifying and addressing their challenges and how Oritain can support them.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research to uncover new markets and trends while staying abreast of industry advancements, legislation, and competitor activity.
  • CRM Management: Constantly maintain and record all sales activities and interactions in our CRM and other relevant systems (SalesForce, Hubspot)

Requirements

About you:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Proactiveness: Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and persistently pursue leads with a positive attitude.
  • Research Skills: Strong research skills to identify potential leads and gather relevant information.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams, contributing to a supportive and high-performing culture.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track activities.
  • Curious: You are passionate about learning and self-development and are interested in technology and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience as an SDR, Lead Generation, Inside sales, or a customer-facing role is plus but not essential.
  • Willing and able to work from our offices in Washington DC 4 days a week.

Benefits

In return, we offer

  • 401k
  • Medical Insurance, Dental and Vision
  • Life Insurance
  • 35 Days PTO (includes US holidays)

This offers a base salary of $66,000.00 with an on-Target earning of $110,000 in your first year - with the potential to earn more based on your achievements.
