Job Description

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA ) is currently seeking a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor for our Baltimore, MD office. Candidates must have experience in management of a survey group. Responsibilities include contract administration, project management, organize and work with survey crew coordinator/survey crews, preparation of plats and legal descriptions, and experience in performing all aspects of land surveying including boundary surveys, topographical surveys, construction staking, etc.

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor - Requirements/Job Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform all aspects of land surveying
  • Thorough knowledge in preparing and completing surveys for land development projects; able to provide training to less experienced staff
  • Must be licensed
  • Experience with various survey field equipment (we use Trimble Total Stations) and GPS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to internal and field staff to ensure surveys are conducted in efficient manner by identifying known survey reference points and significant features in the survey area, and review of survey data to ensure accuracy
  • Experience in project management, proposal preparation, contract administration, billing, and survey cost estimates
  • Preparation of boundary surveys, plats and legal descriptions
  • Participate in new business development
