$44.77 - $67.15 per hour, depending on experience.
Overview
Under the direction of the Pathologists, perform gross description and dissection for surgical specimens and supervise the daily activities of gross room. All duties are performed in a timely fashion according to UHSH Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, New York State Department of Health regulations, College of American Pathologists Policies and Procedures, and CDC Infection Control Policies.

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's Degree in biology or related science, and three years of supervised on-the-job training.
Preferred:
A degree from a NCCLS accredited Pathologist's Assistant training program.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
ASCP Certification as Pathologists’ Assistant; PA(ASCP).
Preferred:
Certified Histological Technician; or Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician; or Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
