This position is located at:
1234 Michigan Street, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503
Work with stores and service center to ensure that stores and/or customers receive any items that need to be delivered. Support other departments when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Grill Delivery -Deliver assembled grills to stores and customer's house. May include deliveries of other items such as lawn mowers, snow throwers and other home goods.
Home Delivery -Pick up items order from local Ace Hardware locations and deliver to customer.
RELATIONSHIPS
Maintain open lines of communication with all store associates, store supervisors, and the Support Center personnel.
Outstanding customer service skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to acquire and maintain a valid driver's license to drive a commercial vehicle, such as a cargo van or box truck, (CDL not required) follow printed load and route sheets, along with the use of a delivery application on a hand held device. These requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school education is preferred. No prior experience is necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation Details:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
