JOB SUMMARY:
The administrator oversees the direction and coordination of all functions of the facility including financial activities, staffing, accreditation and regulatory standards, patient safety and satisfaction. The Administrator works closely with the Medical Director and Governing body to establish facility goals and objectives. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and applicable laws and maintains a positive public relations image in all communications. Works with all stakeholders to ensure a safe and efficient facility operations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Registered nurse degree with leadership experience. BSN preferred.
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports directly to the Medical Director and governing board
- Subject to 90-day probationary period
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Multi-task position
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to travel to other offices on occasion
DUTIES:
- Manage daily operations of the surgery center in accordance with clinical practice standards.
- Ordering of pharmacy, supplies and other services as needed.
- Responsible for hiring, staffing logistics, employee performance, education, training, and competency.
- Oversee accreditation and regulatory compliance.
- Lead Performance improvement, quality oversight and infection prevention program.
- Maintaining clinical policies and procedures in alignment with state, federal and accreditation guidelines.
- Negotiates and maintains service contracts and vendor relationships.
- Maintains credentialing files and facilitates peer review processes.
- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures of the surgery center.
- Provides ongoing assessment and nursing care to patients in the facility with physician orders, policies, procedures and processes withing the nursing scope of practice.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Use appropriate guidelines for releasing information.
- Maintain awareness of federal and state health care legislation and regulations; OSHA, CLIA and HIPAA.
