Our full time 2025 Summer Internship Program is a paid nine-week experience (June 2, 2025 - August 1, 2025). You will be responsible for certain tasks your manager will assign you, and you will also be responsible for a summer-long, comprehensive project. The results of your project will be presented to your team at the end of the summer. As a Summer Intern, you will also be provided opportunities for personal and professional development through the program content. This will include different speakers' series and other professional growth opportunities. The program content will be completely virtual, but you will be expected to report out of the office in which your team is based (details above). You will also have the opportunity to learn more about Learfield through a visit to one of our campus properties in the area as well as cross-departmental interactions during the summer.
The Role: Learfield's Licensing Division, Collegiate Licensing Company ("CLC"), is actively seeking a Summer Intern to support the Legal department. CLC's Legal Team is a close-knit group of individuals with diverse skills, backgrounds, and talents who truly support each other's work, growth, and professional development. We serve as trusted advisors to our internal and external clients, in support of their day-to-day initiatives and long-term strategies, yet we continue to innovate, collaborate, and seek out cutting-edge, real-world solutions to the industry's complex challenges all in an effort to better serve our clients and partners. As an Intern with CLC's Legal Team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of brand protection, anti-counterfeiting, anti-piracy, and various other intellectual property matters on behalf of various collegiate institution partners. Additionally, this role will support the Legal Team's transactional initiatives and contract compliance program.
Office Location: Atlanta
Responsibilities: - Online brand protection, including preparing reports, analyzing marketplace listings and social media posts for enforcement, and developing strategies for improved efficiency in online enforcement of intellectual property rights
- Working with counsel to prepare responses to open records requests
- Monitoring Customs and Border Protection requests
- Assist with review and analysis of marketing materials for intellectual property, marketing, and advertising law issues, and to ensure compliance with privacy laws
- Assist with drafting and revision of contracts with licensees and partner institutions
- Prepare legal educational materials for both internal and external use
Qualifications: - Candidates who are juniors or seniors, with an expected graduation date no later than August 2026.
- Ability to start work on Monday, June 2 and secure housing for the full nine weeks.
