Housekeeping Manager to assist the Housekeeping Director in the day-to-day operations of the department.

What are we looking for?- An individual who has a position attitude and able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Has a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A minimum of 5 years of housekeeping management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
- Has basic computer skills required (e.g., Word, Excel)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exemplary customer service
- Must be knowledgeable in maintaining quality housekeeping standards, alternative methods of accomplishing cleaning tasks, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including establishing performance standards and monitoring the compliance of standards
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb and reach continuously and lift to 40lbs
- Has open availability to open or close the department, and work weekends and holidays
What would my job responsibilities be?- Responds to and follow through on guest requests, concerns and problems
- Ensures that excellent customer service is a hallmark of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department
- Ensures that rooms are made as per company standard
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists
- Conducts performance reviews and recommends discipline
- Prepares staff work schedules based on present and anticipated occupancy levels
- Monitors and controls all labor, achieving targeted payroll and productivity
- Maintains par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies and linen
- Develops and implement Housekeeping systems and procedures
- Prepares reports for management information
- Orders and maintains all supplies within department
- Supervises and conducts daily detailed inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back of the House
- Walks all V.I.P rooms before arrival
- Sets up site rooms weekly for sales department to show
- Ensures compliance with hotel's health, sanitation standards and regulations, to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Attends daily Executive meetings
- Coordinates the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public area with maintenance department
- Ensures daily communication by utilizing provided radios
- Performs all other duties as assigned
