Our work depends an Guatemalan Linguist s erving as a natively fluent language specialist, with a Guatemalan background to support a social media program in Tampa, FL . The preferred candidate will have the ability to read and write in the Mayan dialect.

HOW A GUATEMALAN LINGUIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Develops and maintains expertise with designated regional issues and draws upon publicly available online information resources.

• Reads, analyzes, and drafts communications regarding regional and ideological discussions in specified foreign language media environments.

• Examines current media statements or postings to support trend analysis and identifies key communicators.

• Demonstrates reading and writing expertise in the assigned language and incorporates custom social media solutions to comprehend online environments and communicate trends effectively.

• Supports operations planning.

• Demonstrates knowledge of online social media and different technologies, and documents activities, notes, informative papers, or whitepapers written in English.

• Some travel may be required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education : Bachelor's Degree required; experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

• Experience : 5+ years' experience required

• Security clearance level : Minimum DoD Secret clearance required

• Skills and abilities: Ability to work nonstandard hours and in on-call status for periods of time may be required. Select candidates will be language-tested.

The likely salary range for this position is $73,950 - $100,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
