Job Title: Fitter Welder
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fitter Welder to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for welding components for buildings and construction areas, utilizing Flux core .045 and MIG welding techniques. The role involves reading blueprints, using quality tools, and receiving training from experienced workers. You will work closely with architects to meet their specifications and feedback. The position focuses on heavy steel welding.

Responsibilities

• Weld components for buildings and construction areas using Flux core .045 and MIG welding techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate welding.
• Utilize quality tools to perform welding tasks.
• Receive training from experienced workers to enhance skills.
• Collaborate with architects to understand and meet their requirements.
• Perform heavy steel welding.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience with Flux core or MIG welding.
• 3+ years of experience with structural steel.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Experience with structural steel welding.
• Knowledge of TIG welding and stainless steel.
• Fabrication and fitting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience from companies such as Ace Iron & Steel, UMI, Wisconsin Steel Tube, or Super Steel is highly valued.

Work Environment

Our facility operates on two shifts: 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The work environment is smaller and clean, ensuring a pleasant and organized space for our employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
