Creative Project Manager

The Creative Project Manager will be instrumental in supporting both clients and internal teams by leading coordination for creative projects. This role will oversee the production of materials across marketing, branding and communication focused projects while paying close attention to the budget and scope of work. The Creative Project Manager will ensure a positive project execution, providing essential coordination for all creative work.
Position Reports to: Creative Director
Classification: Salaried/Exempt
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 dependent on experience and qualifications
Location: Vancouver, Washington or Tacoma, Washington | Hybrid work environment with 2-3 days expected in the office. Additional in-person meetings may be required based on client/project needs.

Overall Responsibilities - Project Development: Assist in optimizing project systems, processes, workflows, and documentation.
- Scope Management: Help manage and develop creative scopes, ensuring alignment with project goals, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Project Reporting & Contract Management: Prepare progress reports, assist in contract management, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Staffing & Project Forecasting: Support project forecasting by managing team workload and tracking tasks, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, and aligned with project scopes.
- Task & Deadline Management: Regularly monitor and manage projects in Asana and client-facing documents, ensuring deadlines are met. Support the development of project schedules and workback plans. Support quality assurance and quality control.
- File System Management: Maintain and monitor file systems. Ensure consistent project file organization and management of final deliverables.
- Meeting Participation: Attend, lead, and track internal and client meetings to drive projects forward.
- Client Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for clients to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
- Project Check-ins: Support regular internal and external project check-ins to track resources, schedules, tasks, milestones and budgets.
- Project Kickoffs: Setup and deliver both internal and external project kickoffs and milestone meetings, ensuring all team members and clients are aligned on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Business Development & Proposals: Assist leadership in supporting proposal development and budgets for project pursuits.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business, public relations or related fields
- 8+ years of experience in similar or related field
- Professional services firm / consulting experience critical
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with designers, specialists, and content coordinators to ensure alignment with project goals
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Familiarity with the creative processes, including design, branding, content creation, social media, and the production of print and digital assets
- Ability to leverage project management platforms and other tools such as Asana, Canva, Figma, Google Workspace, Zoom, MS Office 365 (Including Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
- Collaborative team member with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, co-workers, community members, and business partners.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and facilitate collaboration among team members
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and as part of a dynamic, interdependent team
- Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of changing priorities in a startup environment
- Ability to translate client needs into actionable project plans
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adjust schedules as needed
- Able to engage BIPOC and other historically underrepresented communities in various efforts

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Work is currently performed in a hybrid environment with the expectation to be in the office (Vancouver, WA or Tacoma, WA) and remotely. This includes long periods at a desk. The position requires the employee to regularly engage in in-person and virtual meetings, and communicate with community members and clients in both small and large groups. Employees may work under the stress of continual contact from clients, community members, co-workers and business partners, and the pressure to meet deadlines. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Requires availability 8am-5pm M-F with potential evening and/or weekend work
- This position is expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week, and as needed or requested
- Each team member has the freedom to construct their work week and schedule based on client and business needs, including the location(s), times, and days in which they will complete work. Position may require the ability to travel regionally for work activities.
