Overview & Responsibilities PURPOSE OF THE JOB Coordination and management of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability related programs, policies, and communications with internal and external stakeholders, assuring integration and alignment with Parent Company (Ebara Corporation.)
BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's or graduate degree in CSR/Sustainability Management or related field
- At least 7 years experience working in a CSR role, preferably one requiring coordination of multiple functions/stakeholders
- Working knowledge of the various international frameworks and models related to CSR/Sustainability, in addition to global, national, and local regulatory considerations
- Capacity to think holistically and strategically about planning, milestones, communications, and programs
- Keen understanding of business operations and the ability to influence change by communicating value to key stakeholders
- Confident writing, communication, and presentation skills, including with senior leaders in English
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop deep content knowledge quickly
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES - Communicate with appropriate departments at Parent company and understand their goals, policy, strategy and initiatives relative to CSR, Sustainability, ESG and SDGs.
- Coordinate development of materials/documents for response to external CSR inquiries. Develop standard "library" of CSR related data and documentation that can be efficiently and effectively shared with customers and others
- Facilitate a cross-functional sustainability council to collaborate with Senior Leadership, HR, EHS, Corporate Development, Supply Chain, Legal, Compliance, R&D, Sustainability BD, and Operations
- Partner with business teams and subject matter experts to identify knowledge gaps and build materials to fill them.
- Develop and support internal and external communications regarding CSR programs, initiatives, and projects
- Oversee the data gathering, tracking, analyzing, benchmarking, and reporting of all aspects of CSR programs, including reporting on external platforms (e.g., Eco Vadis)
- Facilitate and/or coordinate training of key internal stakeholders on CSR elements, programs, ratings, and terminology
- Track CSR/Sustainability regulatory developments globally and determine impact and recommend response for our (Ebara Elliott Energy) business and operations
