Job Description

This is a permanent/direct hire, fractional CFO opportunity, 30 hours per week. As the organization grows, there may be an opportunity for this to become full time role, however, it does not have to become full time, as 30 hours/week may be sufficient. The CFO will have a strong accounting team with good tenure as direct reports. This is a newly created role as this well known nonprofit organization continues to grow. Nonprofit experience strongly preferred.

The CFO is a hands-on, operational finance leader who also serves as a strategic business partner to the CEO and the Board of Directors. In this role, the CFO will be striving to ensure the organization is making smart business decisions informed by strategic fiscal considerations. This individual will also provide leadership, direction and support to the Accounting team, as well as being a partner to Department Heads to ensure all organization resources are managed effectively.

We are looking to identify someone who will bring strategic perspectives and a proactive approach to running the Finance organization. The ideal candidate will thrive on building out financial and strategic planning processes for this growing organization. This will be the organization's first dedicated CFO (the CEO has a strong finance background). We are looking for a leader, a teacher, a mentor and a coach to help educate the organization to higher levels of learning as it relates to the financial aspects of the business.
