We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator to join our team. We require you have your OWN box truck that must be at least 26 ft in length with a pallet jack. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods while providing exceptional customer service. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle and maintaining high standards of operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle various logistical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. (Must understand and execute FMCSA requirements for safety)
• Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials. (As needed, we try to haul no touch freight as often as possible)
• Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. (Successfully communicate location and ETAs regularly)
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns professionally.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks. PALLET JACK IS REQUIRED!!
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly. (Must follow the FMCSA guidelines and always be prepared to pass a DOT inspection)
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Familiarity with load unloading procedures and warehouse operations.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack safely (certification may be required).
• Knowledge of route driving techniques and logistics management is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a van driver or in moving services is a plus.
• Must demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance with all transportation regulations.
