Chapman BMW Chandler is looking for a Parts Counterperson to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will manage the parts sales process from start to finish, while cultivating strong business relationships with retail and wholesale clients and vendors, and generating future business opportunities. Successful candidates are excellent communicators, knowledgeable about auto parts, and works well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to meet department goals. The Parts Counterperson reports to the Parts Manager.

Core Responsibilities:
- Assist retail and wholesale customers in selecting the parts and accessories they need, and solicit additional sales
- Locate and order parts from vendors or other outside sources, maintaining contact with vendors and customers regarding parts order status
- Provide customers with price quotes, invoices and other information
- Pull and fill orders from stock, ensuring customers receive parts and accessories in a timely manner
- Interact with the Service Department to fulfill parts needs for vehicle repair and service
- Ensure internal requests for parts are billed correctly on the repair order
- Foster strong business relationships to generate referrals and repeat business
- Uphold the appearance of the parts counter and retail displays, and assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of parts inventory areas
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years working in a dealership parts sales environment is required; BMW experience is highly preferred
- Experience reading and interpreting parts catalogs and working with dealership management software (DMS) is preferred
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, web browsing, data entry, etc.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Hours and Work Environment
The Parts Department is open 7am to 6:30pm Monday – Friday and 8am to 5pm on Saturdays. We ask that candidates have flexible availability to work during these business hours. Our Parts Department staff enjoy a positive, team-oriented atmosphere, working at the Parts Boutique and in the parts warehouse.
