Description JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Serves as point of contact for complex application problems.
- Has ability to quickly assess problems and identify resolutions.
- Provides complex application support to end users and provides technical guidance to other application support personnel.
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing processes.
- Performs and coordinates complex analysis, design, development, testing, and support services for assigned application systems.
- Interacts with business units to learn existing processes and then devises solutions to automate business needs.
- Makes recommendations and provides alternatives with regards to various development and support intitiatives.
- Automates the deployment of client applications throughout the company utilizing industry standard deployment systems and various scripting technologies.
- Works closely with other department personnel and vendors to assure complete compatibility between applications and platforms systems with other systems' hardware and software.
- Provides maintenance and support of application development solutions utilizing standard programming languages.
- Provides training for Help Desk and other departments as needed.
- Creates policies and procedures to assure proper infrastructure security and disaster recovery.
- Provides and receives guidance to and from management as required.
- Provides documentation for audit purposes on all job responsibilities.
- Ensures all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE - Two years of college or equivalent in advanced education.
- In-depth knowledge of network based software, applications systems, and three-tier architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems, relational databases, email, and web server technologies.
- Knowledge of various scripting technologies. Some knowledge of programming languages is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to adapt quickly to a constantly changing environment.
SCOPE MEASUREMENTS - Assigned systems and implemented and maintained to adequately provide needed services to our users.
- Analysis of business processes lead to solutions that automate business needs.
- Support issues concerning assigned systems and resolved quickly to lessen the impact to our users.
