Adjunct, Music History

Position Summary and Qualifications:
The Department of Music, Theatre & Film seeks a highly qualified adjunct to teach 1-2 courses a semester, which may include History of Rock and Pop and/or Introduction to World Music.

The successful candidate will teach 1-2 courses a semester, which will likely include History of Rock and Pop and/or Introduction to World Music. Other courses could include History of Music in the United States and an upper level course in music history in the candidate's area of expertise. Preparing course materials, calculating and reporting mid-semester and final grades, providing guidance and support to students, and holding office hours are all required.

Preferred qualification is a Ph.D. in Historical Musicology. ABD will be considered. 1-2 years of teaching experience are required.
