We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Lead to join our esteemed firm. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This role is a permanent position and requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in the field of finance. The Accounts Receivable Lead will play a crucial role in our finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial activities and contributing to our firm's overall financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire accounts receivable process, including billing, cash application, and collections.
- Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted on time.
- Reconcile complex accounts, identifying any discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management, highlighting any significant issues or trends.
- Work closely with other departments to improve processes, increase efficiency, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring our firm's compliance.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Collaborate with external auditors, providing all necessary information and addressing any queries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
- Proven experience with month-end close, cash application, and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven experience in staff supervision and training.
- Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to learning and development.
